Barbi, RC/n
Barbi, a Novice of the Rivendell Community, currently serves on the Executive Committee of Via Media for her diocese, and as President of her local chapter of Integrity. She has special interest in working with battered women, and in working for "full inclusion of all people into the life of the Church and society, and for all manners of social justice." She and her partner Deb live on a farm, where she raises goats and makes wonderful goats' milk soap.
She writes, "I have never felt as welcomed as I did at Rivendell. It felt as though I had come home. I am attracted to life in Rivendell because it puts forth an image of living a life directed by the Gospels. All is centered around the Daily Office. Life is no less chaotic at Rivendell; however, the breaks for prayer bring one out of the chaos and back to the manner at hand--seeking God's will and way for us as individuals in community."
